The existing white flashing acetylene light at Penguin Island nine miles southwest of Offer Wadham Light is replaced by a white fixed kerosene light. The change takes effect after May 1, 1933, and the light operates only from April 15 to navigation’s end each year.
Twillingate Telephone and Electric Co Ltd invites tenders by 6pm May 10 for a full time Electrician and Line repairer to maintain telephones and system, erect poles, install and remove telephones, company to furnish materials. Tenders must state yearly salary and be sealed marked Ponder. Not bound to accept lowest. Info from Arthur Colbourne, Chairman.
Parish notices announce St Peter's Holy Communion at 8 and Matins at 11 with Evensong at 7. St Andrew's offers Matins at 11 and Evensong at 7. The schedule shows morning and evening services across both churches.
Creditors of George Blandford late of Twillingate are required to send written claims to Dr A J Wood Twillingate Executor or to CONROY MUIR solicitors by May 11 1933. After that date the executor will distribute the estate considering only notified claims. Dated St Johns April 11 1933.
