Man with machete surrenders to Tustin police
Edward Petress, 44, of Tustin, chased two people with a machete then barricaded himself inside a Saybrook Lane home. Police evacuated nearby streets, SWAT secured the area, and Petress surrendered around 5 p.m. He faces assault with a deadly weapon and possible criminal threats charges. Petress has prior felony convictions.
