Mission seeks donations to cover increased need at Orange County Rescue Mission
The Orange County Rescue Mission relies entirely on donations to fund housing assistance, food, medical services, job training, counseling, and legal aid for the homeless. Projections show 4,476 people will need help this summer, up from 3,396 last year, with an additional 300,000 dollars needed. Donors are urged to give cash or bulk items like beans, peanut butter, pasta, noodles, gelatin, canned fruit, tomato sauce, cereal, rice, potatoes, and meat. Visitors can donate at rescuemission.org.
