Chamber board okays 1963 64 advertising budget
The Tucson Chamber of Commerce approved a 100000 advertising budget for 1963 64 to promote Tucson as a tourist convention and industrial city. Major costs include 34532 in national magazines and 15785 in regional editions. Executive director Austin F Randall set a 600 new member goal with 1600 current. Frank E Drachman Sr noted McDonnell Aircraft chose Holloman AFB over Tucson.

Youth Placed On Probation In Burglary Case
Antonio Carlos Ahumada, 18, of 1616 W St Clair St was placed on probation for two years after being found guilty by a jury of burglary and grand theft. He and two others were accused of taking a car to a desert area on Oct 10 and removing parts. Charges against the other two youths were dropped. Judge Lee Garrett imposed the probation.

Chalmers Preliminary Hearing Scheduled for Eight Felony Counts
A preliminary hearing is set in Justice Court 1 at 10 a.m. Monday for William Patrick Chalmers 24 of 522 E Drachman Sr charged with eight felonies including murder and manslaughter in the traffic deaths of Ada line Huerta 31 and her 11 year old daughter Rosalina Apodaca with four others injured. Chalmers held without bond after hospital treatment for a broken leg from the N Oracle Road crash. He has attorney Robert Royal and will appear for the hearing after transfer from the hospital.
