Settlement Reached in Billie Jean Adams Car Injury Suit
A $50,000 out of court settlement was reached in a suit filed on behalf of 12 year old Billie Jean Adams. The case named driver Marion C Meyers and Morris Adams of 3832 N Oracle Read as plaintiffs. The incident occurred last June 5 as Billie Jean crossed North Oracle Road in the 3800 block.

Dummy Reactor Test Fireball Over Atlantic Near Bermuda
A 400 pound nonradioactive mock reactor riding a four stage Scout rocket reached about 100 miles high in a suborbital flight off Bermuda to study re entry radiation hazards. Recovery of the payload is pending as ships track the descent and determine if the test was a complete success.
