President Eisenhower Leaves Hospital For Convalescent Farm Stay

At Gettysburg Dwight D. Eisenhower arrived at his farm home at 11 06 am after an 85 mile drive from Walter Reed. He plans a two week convalescence with Mrs Eisenhower and is celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary while marking Maj. Gen Heaton and Mrs Heaton’s 30th. He appeared pale yet waved and spoke little as reporters pressed questions.

Dick Jenkins Leads Arizona Delegation to National Convention

Dick Jenkins, chair of the Pima County Democratic Central Committee, is slated to lead Arizona's 32 delegates and 28 alternates to the national convention in Chicago on August 13. The allocation, discussed at a county chairman meeting, cites Pima with seven or eight delegates, Maricopa with 13 or 14, and the rest distributed to other counties.
