Local Jury Acquits Rancher in No-Fence Case
A Tucson area jury acquitted Alfredo Campos of four charges under the no-fence law. The panel ruled he did not need fences to control his 50 head herd in a 69 square mile no-fence zone east of the city. The case ends the first court action on the new law.

Thomas Charles Johnson 33 of Oracle is in fair condition at St. Mary's Hospital after his motorcycle went out of control on the Florence Highway 12 miles north of Tucson. He struck a road marker and overturned at 11 30 pm sustaining cuts bruises and possible skull and shoulder fractures. Arizona Highway Patrolman George Falter reported the incident.
