Amsterdam reports former South African prime minister Jan Smuts telling Eastern European nations to unite to save Western civilization. Speaking at Leiden University he received an honorary LL.D. and urged a definite ideology backed by enthusiasm to speed recovery, citing Benelux and a Brussels agreement as early steps toward a Western European union.

Streptomycin Only A Help for TB Not a Cure
