Special prosecutor named in Bolles murder case
Former Pima County attorney William J. Schafer II was appointed by Arizona Attorney General Bruce Babbitt to lead the investigation into the murder of Arizona Republic reporter Don Bolles. Police imposed a news blackout as about 900 mourners attended Bolles funeral, with John Adamson held on an open murder charge.
