NCAA Threatens Boycott of Mexico City Olympics
In 1928 the NCAA boycotted Amsterdam and now the possibility arises for 1968 Mexico City after the US Olympic Committee broadened AAU control of major Olympic sports committees. The AAU would lead track swimming and basketball, while the NCAA would share a reduced role with non-AAU groups. A special committee may chart a course for all involved organizations.
