Rescue device saves man buried in sewer collapse
In North Hollywood California Dennis Fisk 22 and Homer Bass 36 were trapped when a 10 foot sewer ditch collapsed Bass remained above ground Fisk was three feet under sand with a brief air pocket. Firemen from company 89 used a garden hose adapter connected to a pressurized air bottle to tunnel and reach Fisk. He regained consciousness and was reported in good condition after rescue.
