Dean Suggests Nuclear Aid for Disarmament Force
In Geneva US envoy Arthur H. Dean said an international disarmament force might need nuclear backing to deter clandestine rearmament. He stressed the US has not taken a formal position and favors no nuclear armament for the peacekeeping force, while urging thorough verification. Soviet deputy Zorin contends the US seeks to weaponize the force in a bid to subdue the world.
