Tucson pays homage to RFK at Randolph Park service
Tucsonans of many faiths gathered at the Randolph Park Band Shell for memorial services honoring Senator Robert Kennedy. Rev. Comer Alden of St Paul’s United Methodist led the Service of Confession and Rev. Charles Rourke of the UA Catholic Student Center delivered the sermon. The service was sponsored by the Tucson Ecumenical Council Tucson Jewish Community and the City of Tucson.

Schlesinger Urges Resignations From Johnson Violence Panel
Historian Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. called on Senator Roman Hruska and Eric Hoffer to resign from President Johnsons commission on violence. He accused Hruska of Gun lobby ties and Hoffer of prejudging the issue after Kennedy slaying. Johnson had named both men to the 11 member panel after Kennedy was shot.
