Hot weather dominates Arizona and western states with cooler readings forecast in the upper Great Lakes and Northeast. Showers expected in several regions as the nation swelters under high temperatures and humid conditions.
Temperature figures include yesterday and year ago highs and lows with records. humidity readings, sunrise and sunset times, and astronomical notes. Regional forecasts predict increasing cloudiness with possible afternoon showers in Southeast Arizona, highs in the 90s to 100s, and cooler conditions in the Northwest Deserts and Central Basin.
In Arizona a variable cloudiness pattern with isolated thunder showers is possible late tomorrow. Temperatures will be cooler with highs around 80 in the mountains and near 60 in the valleys, and lows tonight about 40s in the mountains and 50s in the valleys. Colorado Valley shows variable clouds tomorrow with slightly cooler warmth, highs in the upper 60s to 70s and tonight lows in the 50s.
