Service Bill Held Merger
Sen. Robertson says the Army-Navy unification bill amounts to merger legislation though the bill claims no merger. The bill would place military forces under a secretary of national security, with a Navy mandate against merger, and Senate hearings are debated before July adjournment. Robertson prefers voluntary enlistment but contemplates universal training if needed.
