The Associated Press reports renewed flood warnings affecting several regions as rivers rise after heavy rains. Officials urge evacuations in low lying areas while crews reinforce levees and monitor flood channels for further movement.
Flooding looms across the Columbia River basin as rain heavy snowmelt pushes water to flood levels. About 1,000 people evacuated. 18,000 acres farmland under water in Idaho. major dikes held at 28 feet while one district flooded due to a levee breach. Nearby Mustang Oklahoma reports twin tornadoes causing $200,000 in damage with no injuries.
Four teens Griffin 18 Sandoval 17 Dvines 16 and Garcia 17 in Superior Court for the first degree killing of night watchman Ray Garcia. Judge Robert S. Tullar grants a week delay for motions to separate trials and to quash charges. Garcia to be represented by appointed attorney. others have private counsel. The incident occurred during a burglary at the Tucson Sports Center on West Congress Street.
