Yank Traitor Monti Sentenced To 25 Years In Treason Case
A 27 year old former air force lieutenant from Florissant Missouri pleaded guilty to treason and received 25 years imprisonment plus a $10000 fine. He faced possible death on the charges and had been indicted for aiding the Germans in Italy from 1944 to 1946 after going AWOL in Karachi. He allegedly served as an SS officer after being released as a POW and later returned to join the American Fifth Army. About 150 prospective jurors appeared as witnesses testified for the government.
