Bribery Trial Recessed as Rubi Testifies About Threat
County Supervisor Pete Rubi testified that Donald Depugh once warned him of framing him to help Depugh’s rezoning bid. Depugh allegedly paid bribes in 1964 and 1966 for zoning approvals, while Rubi said he accepted only a $200 campaign contribution. Judge Helm recessed the case until Tuesday as defense challenges Depugh’s credibility.
