Sabino senior wins 900 in Citizen sweepstakes
Jackie Andrews a 17 year old Sabino High School senior won 900 as the Tucson Citizen's Mystery Prize from the 100 A Day Sweepstakes. Her mother claimed the prize for her while she was in class. The prize comes from unclaimed money in the regular 10 000 contest. Jackie plans to use it to help pay her car loan while balancing school and a part time job. She lives in Tucson with her family and has been a Citizen subscriber for 16 years.

Krueger Division of Lear Siegler to close in Tucson
Lear Siegler Inc plans to close the Krueger Division in Tucson on Sept 30, eliminating about 250 jobs.
