In Kansas City on September 15 a damage suit by Mrs. Albert Sechrist against Dr. Louis Zorn soared to a sensational point. A mob gathered seeking immediate hanging. a long rope was found at the courthouse square. Sheriff Pitcock tightened security as prosecutors vowed a public hanging only if lawful procedures proceed.
Elmore Alexander, 50, a carpenter of Millbury, attempted to kill his 15 year old son Clarence, then threw both into a burning barn after a vision of a holy city. Neighbors stopped the crime, saving the boy. The fire destroyed the house and barn. Alexander was arrested and held for safekeeping in Worcester.

The bar rockets downward tearing a four inch hole through her hat but she is not seriously injured. Oil operator Tony Lippert and Wabash Gas and Oil official William Flynn were also hurled from a pumping station by a natural gas explosion. Lippert burned on face and arms, Flynn burned on hands and face.
In Omaha Judge Mc Pherson issued a temporary injunction barring pickets from the gates and grounds of the Union Pacific. The move followed an assault by pickets on two strike-breakers, one fatally, yesterday at the railroad yard.
