Woman cantor to lead services at Temple Emanu-El
Dora Krakower of Santa Monica California will be the first woman reengaged as a cantor by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. She will guest lead High Holy Days at Temple Emanu El 225 N Country Club Rd. Krakower has sung with Hollywood Opera Paramount NBC and the Ten Commandments soundtrack under Darren Michaels. She sees women in worship as a gradual evolution not a movement victory.
