Douglas border boycott ends amid threats and outrage
Supporters of a Douglas border boycott halted protests over the Pat Hanigan acquittal in the alien torture case. Margo Cowan of the Manzo Area Council cited violent threats and hate calls as the main reason for folding the effort. An ecumenical mass for non-violence was announced for Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. at the international port of entry between Douglas and Agua Prieta.
