Wilkes Barre Pa Oct 21 The United Mine Workers convention adopted a resolution to end the strike and accept arbitration by a Roosevelt commission. John Mitchell will represent the miners before the commission, work to resume October 23, and Roosevelt will convene the arbitration panel shortly. The strike cost an estimated 148 million with 9 deaths and 46 wounded among non union workers.
