County hires Boston jail chief as Pima corrections director

Sheriff Richard J. Boykin named Paul E. Dunn 30, head of Boston jail, as Pima County corrections director. Dunn, who takes over Aug 22, aims to split the overcrowded jail into mini facilities and shifts from Massachusetts funding to a system seen as less political. He will replace Lt. John S. Czech, amid reform after a 1976 investigation into the jail’s leadership following a beating death.

Nashville waitress Tommy Gaebler sues Hank Williams Sr. and Warner Bros. Records for 1 million dollars alleging the cover photograph for One Night Stands wrongly depicts her as a loose woman.
