City Council Forms Committee to Assess Wedge Removal
City Council met at City Hall to wind up old council affairs. Mayor Schumacher and all councilmen attended. A committee of N. E. Plumer, James F. Flynn, and M. G. Samaniego was appointed to assess benefits and set assessments for wedge removal. Report due in thirty days. Solomonville petitioners asked for a one year extension on the telephone franchise and were granted it conditioned on a $2,500 bond as good faith guarantee. The meeting adjourned after this action.
