Tucson land dispute pits veterinarian against swap meet owners

Jerald W. Diemer of Tanque Verde Pet Hospital sues Eugenio and wife over land use adjoining the Tanque Verde Swap Meet alleging a trailer court violates a 1965 contract. He seeks a preliminary injunction and damages for land and site damage. Separately a 33 three debt dispute triggered a shooting injuring Richard Blanger, while Belinda Canez fired a pistol at her doorway wounding Blanger in a separate incident.

Correction Shots Not Fired in Tucson Trucker Death

The Tucson police cleared two officers of wrongdoing in a fatal shooting involving Jose Sinohui. The initial report claimed one shot from each officer hit the truck, but police say Fuentes struck the right rear tire and Richards hit a street sign. Sinohui was killed by a South Tucson officer charged with involuntary manslaughter.
