Miners Die in Breese Mine Cage Tragedy
Six men were killed when a cage dropped 300 feet at Breese-Trenton Mining Co mine early Saturday. Victims Henry Middke Frank Zehrer August Foppe Walter Schaffer Herman Holtmann and Herman Schlepper were all married with large families.

Mrs. Cynthia C. Davis aged 89 years 8 months 11 days formerly of Litchfield died Sunday morning at her niece Mrs. Fannie Morrias home after a peaceful illness. She was the mother figure to Mrs. Morrias since infancy and is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jane Robson of Litchfield. Remains were taken to Mont and shipped to Litchfield.
