Youth Found Dead In East St Louis Line Region

George H. Miller aged 21 was found dead near Werner Station on the East St Louis Suburban line between Maryville and Glen Carbon. A bullet hole in the temple and a revolver nearby suggested suicide, though relatives doubt the self destruction verdict. An inquest returned death by own action. Miller had worked in Edwardsville and Troy areas, had $600 in a bank and about $40 in his pocket. Funeral held at Oak Town cemetery with Rev. W A Cross officiating. He left behind brothers John, Edward, Albert and sisters Mrs Charles Schaf and Dora and Fern. Relatives question motive and potential accident surrounding the weapon.
