Confirmation at St Pauls and church reunion noted
The St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran church held annual confirmation exercises last Sunday with a large audience. Ten catechumens wore formal dress and were exhorted by Rev. Martin Daib. A Sunday evening reunion for those confirmed since 1864 drew the largest crowd yet. About 240 of 340 confirmed remain connected locally, with the rest scattered across the United States. The German evangelical church also reported a grand confirmation with evergreen decorations and the students listed. Rev. F H Mittendorf delivered the exhortation. The Young People’s Society meets Monday at 7:30 PM and services are planned at St Pauls on Monday morning.
