Milford Haven to Wed Mrs Simpson in Postwar Society Shock
The 26 year old Mrs. Stimpson, ex wife of William A Simpson, announced plans to marry Milford Haven’s Marquess David Mountbatten. The pairing, linking American society with British aristocracy, spurs chatter in New York and London. The marquess, long a sought-after bachelor, has ties to Princess Margaret and Prince Philip, with a history in Washington and New York social circles.
