France Plans Its Own Luxury Passenger Ships After War
Paris reports the French Ministry of Marine and commissions plan to rebuild passenger service to South America after the war. They will buy some ships abroad but intend to build French luxury vessels in home yards around 25 000 tons with modern improvements. Emigration routes may resume with the Campana able to carry 1100 emigrants and 200 passengers, and existing ships like Pasteur to be redeployed as needed.
