A semi monthly City Council meeting approved directing the Commissioner of Public Works to incinerate garbage collected by city workers. No dumping allowed in the Champlain Canal bed without written authorization signed by the commissioner and two other council members. Mayor Eckerson moved to deliver a copy of the resolution to the commissioner in person. The council also adopted a district map by John H. Sheehan dated April 23, 1943 as the official map for election districts and announced one polling place change. District 6 voters will use the city garage on South Central Avenue instead of Hack's garage on First Street. Health officer Dr Frank A. Mastrianni reported one pneumonia case for Aug 27 to Sept 24. After auditing bills and payrolls the meeting adjourned. Attendees were Mayor Homer B. Eckerson and Commissioners John S. Moore, Mrs Mary Cassidy and Hawley EB Harvey. Commissioner Frank C.
