Marine Midland opens new Cohoes office at Mohawk and Ontario
The Marine Midland National Bank of Troy opened a Cohoes office at Mohawk and Ontario Street with a 10 am ribbon cutting led by Mayor James E. McDonald and bank president Chester F. Millhouse. The remodelled former Metropolitan Life building features terra cotta exterior, walnut lobby, six teller stations, a staff dining area, meeting rooms, and adjacent parking. An open house runs through the week with a pep rally planned at Cohoes High School.

Kirwan Named New York State Police Superintendent

Four Hurt In Two Car Accident At Albany Intersection
Four people were injured in a two car crash at the Congress and First Streets intersection at about 1 15 a m. Theodore F Luty Jr 19 of Hyde Park and Wal ster Jackson 51 of 101 Alexander St Albany drove west on Congress and attempted a left onto First Street when the collision occurred. Luty and a passenger Douglas Dukas 19 of South Poughkeepsie sustained back injuries while Jackson also suffered back injuries. A passenger in the other car Vella Nealson of 229 Sheridan Ave Albany injured her right foot. All were taken to Samaritan Hospital and were not held.
