New Food Program To Be Submitted Soon Says Vinson
Hartford reports Fred M Vinson economic stabilization director told Governor Baldwin in a telephone talk that an overall food program would be submitted within a day or two. In critical dairy areas farmers would get more feed at lower costs to ease a milk shortage and subsidies to feed producers would cover higher costs. Baldwin noted Washington favors price stabilization but said half a loaf is better than none and pressed for a two cent per quart price rise to producers to sustain milk production.
