Seven Die in Quebec Head-On Collision Near Scott Junction
A Sunday head on crash near Scott Junction Quebec killed seven people two civilians and five soldiers. The soldiers were Acting Cp Claude Boissoly 25 Pvt Edgar Langlois 24 Pvt Jean Paul Boulianne 26 and Pvt Donald Stewart 27 all with the 2nd battalion Royal 22e Regiment stationed at Camp Val Cartier. Civilian victims were Gaston Coutre 20 of St Bernard and Yvon Drouin 20 of Scott Junction. One soldier's name was withheld pending next of kin notification.

Dr Charles A Ross chief of thoracic surgery at Roswell Farks Memorial Institute Buffalo will speak Thursday for the Hensselaer County Cancer Society American Cancer Society Day program at The Troy Club The luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. is expected to attract 150 to 200 area residents prominent in the Society's work and its Lights On fund campaign State and national ACS officials including Mrs Priscilla Marble will address the group and discuss volunteer service and objectives of the Society The event also features group discussions led by ACS volunteers and local leaders with Rensselaer County director Mrs Helen B Schlegel presiding and Homer M Lasher newly named county ACS president.
