United States War Savings Bonds Series E offer 4 dollars back for every 3 at maturity with 2.9 percent annual interest compounded semi annually. Denominations include 25 50 100 500 and 1000 dollars. Redemption begins 60 days after issue and price is 75 percent of maturity value. Also 214 percent Treasury Bonds of 1964 1969 are readily marketable and acceptable as bank collateral redeemable at par and accrued.
