Fitzgeralds Win Contracts for City Pavements

The Fitzgerald Boowders Construction Co. secures contracts to pave Seventh Avenue from Hoosick Street to Federal Street and the nearby Brugewick Road job, costing 19,919.65 and 719,558.15 respectively. Mayor Akers says work will finish by November 1, replacing bumpy sections with full resurfacing rather than patches.

School Traffic Patrols Guard City Crossings

Police in Troy are stationed at school crossings to supervise children crossing main streets. Chiefs Kendall and Kenal say officers cover regular posts near schools with fixed posts and box rigs to handle peak times. Central city traffic will be managed by patrol and motorcycle units. An unrelated note mentions an early 1579 interstate pipeline from Pennsylvania fields to the Atlantic.

East Side bowling league to begin at Third Presbyterian Church

The 101846 bowling league of the Third Presbyterian Church plans a kickoff meeting in the church hall today at 23 pm. Teams will be picked and bowlers unable to attend may telephone Milton Windover or Clarence Barnum. Also, residents Thomas A. Peterson and daughter Marlene return from Cape Cod, and DiNoto family from Detroit visit.
