15 year old Christine Farny wins Scramble contest

Rensselaer County Names Two More MV Clerks

County Clerk Martin B. Stack announced the appointment of two additional motor vehicle license clerks effective Sept. 11. Mary M. Casey of Wynantskill and Anne E. Conroy of Albany area were chosen from the Civil Service list, Casey third with 90, Conroy seventh with 81. Both have prior public or clerical experience and were on provisional rolls.

Named Head of Adult Education in Mechanicville

Bradford Fancy has been named director of Mechanicville adult education with an annual salary of 500 dollars. He succeeds William Cavanaugh who will focus more on being school district attendance officer while remaining tax collector.
