Mrs Agnes Pratt 86 of 77 Jay St. Troy died Saturday after a long illness. Born in England she lived in Troy over 40 years. Widow of Oscar Pratt she is survived by son Willard H. Community PTA meeting featured State Police Sgt. Maier showing the safety film Signal 30 in the school auditorium. Officers announced a cupcake sale and PTA bazaar for December 8 while honor roll efforts and membership drives were reported by Mrs. Mary Daus.
Pleasantdale Troop 413 held a Court of Awards at Covenant Church Hall. Six girls received pins and troop crest: Millie DeLair Tessie Duchowney Kathy Foley Margaret Kocienski Kathy McCoole Nancy Plant. Badges earned included Sign of Arrow Star Rambler prints collector water fun and housekeeper. The cyclist badge went to a large group of scouts. Refreshments were provided by the mothers’ committee.
On Halloween night the children of the Troy Seventh-day Adventist Church will ask for treats for the needy instead of collecting candy for themselves. Mrs. Kenneth Hollingsworth leads the Missionary Volunteer Society which organized the collection for tomorrow night.
