The citywide Democratic rally is set for next Thursday evening at St Peters Lycount Hul ton St and Sth Ave under the 4th 7th and 8th Wards Democratic Club sponsorship. Alderman Harry J Robinson Jr is chairman. General chairman is William W Donnelly with Mary Watson as cochairman.

World War I Veteran Van Veghten Dies at 63
Charles C. Van Veghten of 44 New Turnpike Road died suddenly at home. A World War I Marine Corps veteran, he was a long time baker for Freihofer Baking Co. Survived by wife Alice Palin, he belonged to the Marine Corps League Detachment in Troy, American Legion posts, and the Last Man’s Club. Funeral tomorrow at 2 p.m. from Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Seth N. Genung officiating. interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Open Tuesday and Friday nights.
