Bids for the first leg of Mechanicville arterial route are due at 10:30 am in Albany. The 0.89 mile Centen Avenue project includes 24 and 46 foot concrete pavement, grading, and drainage, estimated at 498000 dollars. Route would bypass railroad crossings and extend along Central Avenue toward Round Lake and Sailes ter, with rights of way funded by the city. Funeral Rites Held For Mrs Costello at St Josephs Church
The funeral for Mrs Mary Long Costello who died Saturday was held yesterday from the Purely Bros Funeral Home at Jackson and Third Streets. A solemn requiem mass was celebrated at St Josephs Church with Rev Leo Brady deacon and Rev Joseph Burne also assisting. Interment was in St Josephs Cemetery. pallbearers included Edward Smith Charles Miller John Congisine and others. Various church and hospital groups attended along with family guests. Mrs Kenneth Simmons held a birthday party Saturday in her honor.

Local funeral rites mark Hillside School and Green Inland groups
Delegations from the Hillside School and the Green Inland Teachers' Association attended a funeral home service Tuesday linked to St. Joseph's Church and the Osary Society. Attendees included Father Brady, Father Nolan, and the Albany Locomotive Supervisors' Club. Nancy’s Sunday school peers and neighbors joined, with Mr. and Mrs Arthur Rockwell moving to Poesten-Ra. A recent missionary meeting at the hall, led by Miss Edward Fiargrave, concluded with readings from a study book. the November gathering will be hosted by Mrs. Walter Conradt.
