Funeral Held for Harold N Consaul Printer 30 Years
The funeral for Harold N. Consaul a longtime printer for The Record Newspapers was held yesterday at Leahy Funeral Home 336 3rd St. Rev William H Odell of Grafton Baptist Church presided. Bearers included Howard F Leffler William J Pratt Frank J Molloy Jr Eric Laware William P Callagan and George B Mahony. Mrs Stephen F Madden sang Jesus Saviour Pilot Me and Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery with grave service led by Rev Odell. A delegation of printers from The Record Newspapers visited the funeral home earlier.

Grafton Church Wins Court Permission to Sell Parsonage
The Grafton Baptist Church obtained court approval to sell its former parsonage for 4000 dollars. The 142 year old frame home on Route 2 will be sold to Clarence Weeden of Petersburg RD 1, with proceeds to fund a future building project as needed. The 1921 purchase from Carrie E. Colehammer funded earlier church use, but the property now sits unused as the pastor resides elsewhere. The petition was signed by trustee chair Myron Bentley and secretary Warren Hedden. lawyers were Leei LeForestier.

Dr Hemke Returns To Classroom At RPI After Retirement
Dr Paull Hemke, provost emeritus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, returns to teaching this fall after retirement last June. He will lecture freshmen calculus and juniors in dynamics of liquids, joining emeritus colleagues who teach with lighter loads. He says face to face instruction is rewarding and notes today’s freshmen and juniors are better prepared and eager to learn.

Catholic Scouts Condense Weekend Retreat at Camp Rotary
More than 150 Catholic Scouts from Uncle Sam Council attended a weekend retreat at Camp Rotary. The event ran from Saturday morning to Mass yesterday at the new Catholic Scout Chapel of St John Bosco. Rev Bernard J Ahern led the retreat with sermons by Rev John Keegan and assisted by Rev Marc L Touchette and Rev Arthur J Reilly. George I Nutall was program chairman. Arthur P Dee and A Donld Marcoux organized the team. An opera titled Mignon, based on Goethe Wilhelm Meister, was noted.
