Green Fears News Guild Closed Shop
Washington UP reports William Green of the AFL opposed a closed shop or any union security for the American Newspaper Guild. He argued bias in coverage if the CLA and guild control persisted, citing a White House paraphrase and a call for press freedom amid maintenance of membership debates at a WLB hearing.
