Funeral Services Held For Eugene Mongiello
Funeral services were held yesterday for Eugene Mongiello after a Mass at Augustine's Church. The service, conducted by Rev Nicholas Mongiello and assisted by Rev Erminio Mastroianni and Rev Raphael Pato, honored the deceased with a solemn requiem. Interment followed at St. John's Cemetery with a delegation from the Holy Name Society.

Four Die in Auto Truck Crash Near Groton Navy Base
Four people died when an automobile collided head on with a truck in Madison near the Groton submarine base. The car's driver Joseph Grandone and Albert P. Saunders, both 3? were killed along with sailors James H. Bartlett and Robert Harrison, both 19. Truck driver Patrick Kelly survived with minor injuries and was charged with reckless driving.
