Army Puts Soldiers in Strange Jobs
The Fifth Army in Italy shifts soldiers into varied roles to aid the war effort. Dom Ken Pfeifer and Frank Perricome help as barbers or in a brewery, while Lieut Don C Gross serves as division officer and instructor in an ordnance battalion with the French Expeditionary Corps, despite no prior French knowledge. The ordnance branch keeps guns, vehicles, and ammunition in fighting shape.
