Auxiliary installs Mrs Scales as Stillwater Fire Company leader
Mrs Robert Scales was installed as president of the Alvin Hart Fire Company auxiliary at a Thursday night meeting in the orehouse. Other new officers include Mrs Donald Whitman as vice president and Mrs Alice Brooks as second vice president. Plans for a Christmas party for Stillwater children were discussed with Soretta Mehan and Mary Lenihan in charge of entertainment. A Dec 19 meeting with a covered dish supper and Christmas party was set for 6:30 p.m. at the firehouse. Memorial night was observed at the Upton Chapter OBS at Masonic Temple with plans for a Dec 10 special meeting and a Dec 4 regular meeting featuring stepping up night. Various hostess duties were assigned for entertainment and refreshments.

CYO To Sponsor Yule Songfest For Children
The Troy Area CYO will sponsor a Christmas songfest for area grammar schools on Saturday December 14 at 2 pm at the CYO Center Fourth Street.
