Miss Presvoll Funeral Rites Held In Metrecatville

The funeral for Miss Jdac Prescull, longtime employee at Steisnard Hospital, occurred yesterday at 9:00 am from Willian A Yoohey Funeral Home and St Augustine's Church. Rev James R ably led a Requiem High Mass. organist Enille Catricals and the Boys Vested Choir performed. Bearers were relatives, and interment followed at St John's Cemetery with Father Berry officiating. Delegations from Fitzgerald Brothers lrewings Co and other local staff attended.

Hospital Fire at Local Facility Causes Alarm

A minor blaze broke out at the hospital’s boiler room with smoke forcing evacuations as fire crews from Lansingburg and Troy responded. Miss Frances Dalton said the alarm was precautionary and students nearby were returned after smoke cleared. no injuries reported and no major damage.

Ventilating Fan Cited as Cause of Latham Fire

Fire at 68 Spring Ave Latham damaged the kitchen and caused smoke damage to one section of a brick two unit dwelling. Firemen from W. Pits Hose Co. responded at 12:55 pm and removed the motor ventilating fan to prevent spread. No injuries reported.

United Fund Key Workers Report Campaign Progress

United Fund drive reports show more than 100 key workers participating. Auditors tabulated results and public announcements are planned. Early reports listed Metropolitan division and other leaders, with a Saturday kickoff and a first tally of $186,080 toward an $888,000 goal. Final figures due December 4.

Settlement Authorized In Boy's Claim In Troy Court

A $500 settlement was approved yesterday by Troy City Court Judge Matthew Duive for a four year old boy named Robert Geset, suing over injuries after being struck by a car at Mass Avenue. Defendants are John and Richard Ishkanian, owners and driver respectively. The matter involved the insurer through Carter & Cowboy of Uohers, with representation by the plaintiffs’ side.

Area Nurses Convene At St Peter's

The Hudson valley League of Nursing hosts an all-day session at St Peter's Hospital Albany titled Working With People. Funeral Held for Mrs. Clute Mother of Pastor

Mrs Blanche Clute 63 a Mechanicville resident for 85 years and mother of Rev Don Clute of Schenectady died after a short illness. Funeral services were Tuesday at First Methodist Church Mechanicville with Rev Frank Meid officiating and burial in Medilson Vien Cemetery. Bearers included Purdy Abbey Rabat Baker and others. Monday Afternoon Club of Mechanicville visited the funeral home. Her son serves at Trinity Methodist Church in Schenectady and was district superintendent of the Troy Methodist Conference.
