The Philippine Department of the Interior announced yesterday that an unknown party conducted a machine gun attack on a B-29 over Luzon. No injuries were reported, and investigations are underway to identify the assailants and determine motives.
A B-20 Superforth flying in formation at Clark Field Luzon was struck by about nine machinegun slugs at 16000 feet. No one was injured and the aircraft sustained damage.
