Cohoes Sets Spending Plan for $1.89 Million Federal Funds

After a resident vote at a community development workshop, 18 projects were ranked for next year’s federal funding of 1.886 million dollars. Edward Farrell, head of the Community Development Agency, said the priority list will go to the Community Development Advisory Board for review and then to the Cohoes Common Council for action.

Cohoes Advisory Board selects projects for HUD funding

A 23 member advisory board will pick 18 city projects to fund with set amounts. Lead items include Central Business District 755000, Neighborhood Improvement 350000, park improvements 240000, and heavy bridge work 100000, among others with several no estimate entries. The council will vote on which to include in the final HUD application after the adviser board's recommendations.

Moose fete old timers in Cohoes on Nov. 19

Sagan book will be reviewed at Albany library noon event

Final pre licensing driving course offered at Cohoes High

The third and final pre licensing course under the new motor vehicle department rules will be held Monday at Cohoes High School from 6 30 to 9 30 pm. Paul Quinlan driver education teacher and course instructor notes the three hour program fulfills the new requirement for classroom training and safe driving practice before the road test.

The Abram Lansing School Chorus will hold its first concert Monday in the school auditorium at 8 p.m. Songs include Lord, Lord, I ve Got Some Singing To Do The Hammer Song and I Believe in Music.
