Untitled 19th Century Museum to Barton Store Fire History

The 1852 museum head Coty C Howard placed nephew George Aiken in charge to stage Uncle Tom's Cabin with Cordelia Howard as Little Eva. The production ran 160 nights at Peale’s Troy Museum before the building became Barton Store space. The store occupied the entire flat door when a fire on June 16 2011 destroyed the Boardman Building. A Troy fireman died during the blaze and the roof collapsed. The present building was rebuilt later that year with tenants remaining. Arms Day services at Alpha Parish Church were noted for Walter A Adams Past and Auxiliary of American Legion of Ayer Park.
